Thank you for writing to us. I am very sorry to hear that you have lost both your big brother and your friend. It sounds very overwhelming. We would love to hear more about what happened.

I would like to know more about how your big brother passed away, when you lost him, how old you are, and how you are feeling. Perhaps there is something you are wondering about and would like to hear others’ experiences in relation to?

I would also like to hear more about how your friend passed away, when it happened, what your relationship was like, and how his death has affected you.

At Aliasoqatit, all volunteers are here because of personal experiences with losing one or more loved ones. As a volunteer, you use your personal experiences with loss and grief to connect with others in similar situations. If you write a slightly longer post, it is easier for us to give you a helpful response. Many of us have experienced loss in different ways, and there is always someone who can recognize themselves in some of what others have gone through.

We are here because we want to share and listen so no one has to be alone in their grief. Therefore, I hope you have the courage to write again and tell us a bit more.
